Favbet or Favorit is a Ukrainian betting company founded in 1999. They offer extensive sports betting functionality, including a very sizeable e-sports section. Ukraine is rather famous for its long cybersport culture, and they make a special emphasis on this part of its bookmaking content.

Favorit is one of the big betting companies in Europe, although it’s not really one of the absolute largest. There is certainly a lot of good to be said about Favbet, and it actually might be one of the best big bookmakers from Europe in terms of upsides against downsides. But making this conclusion rests with every user personally.

Sports diversity

The list of betting targets available here has almost 40 items at the moment. It says ‘betting options’ because not all of them are sports. There are obviously big names like soccer, basketball, tennis, and the like, but a lot of them are less conventional. The latter doesn’t just mean cybersport.

Each big sport has a specific e-sports variety. You can bet on e-football, e-hockey, or e-basketball. They are essentially matches between professional gamers that play sports simulators. However, it gets wilder, as other betting options include darts, politics, and ‘specials’, which are stuff like Eurovision or Oscars. 

Bets diversity

Many of these betting providers try to add alternative betting options into their matches, but Favbet surpasses many of them. Depending on the sport, of course, there can be as many as 8 types of alternative bets you can make, as well as Favbet live bets. That includes stuff like corners, cards, and intervals for soccer, in addition to the regular overall win and half-wins.

You can create very complex bets on each match. It makes it all the more interesting, but there’s also a risk-managing component in all of this. Not to mention, there are several different types of bets, at least for soccer. You get to introduce handicaps, bet simply on 1X2, double chance, or over/under. 

Cybersports

This one deserves a whole separate section because it is actually the second-biggest in the roster. This section gets the most matches after soccer (although it’s still three times smaller). That’s not counting the various sports simulator tournaments that you can bet on.

The e-sports get the same treatment as the other big sports – there are additional bets you can make on the outcome of rounds and maps. Moreover, these events get their own interface that can be easily read by the e-sport fans. It is a very thought-out section, which likely explains its popularity.

Good design

As usual with these websites, the appearance should come last when it comes to selecting the bookmaker to work with. Nevertheless, if all the necessary features are in place, it is obviously better to pick an attractive website. Favbet fits into this category – it has plenty of good content, and great design makes it even better.

Plenty of payment solutions

We’ll cover these later on, but one of the more surprising advantages of this website is the sheer quantity of payment solutions, both for depositing and withdrawing. It’s unusual for an Eastern European company, and many international giants have far fewer payment methods.

Cons

There are just a few visibly bad qualities, although, doubtless, you could find plenty more if you decide to create an account here. These are just those found by the author of this Favbet review.

Awkward navigation

It’s not so catastrophic as to hinder your progress through the website, but you may easily lose or even fail to discover some features because they are buried deep beneath other sections. There might be a better way to structure some parts of this website, although the navigation is overall tolerable.

Regulation issues

Although it is a Ukrainian company originally, it’s currently registered in Curacao. The latter is known for being a lax jurisdiction and a tax haven.
